Sit down to some comfort food and warm atmosphere with these cozy South Bend restaurants.

South Bend is a city filled with friendly neighborhoods, outdoor activities, music and cultural events, and award-winning restaurants. Whether you're looking for a healthy breakfast before work, a hardy lunch with friends, or a candlelight dinner for that special occasion, our real estate agents recommend a visit to these cozy eateries in South Bend.

  • Lasalle Kitchen and Tavern – 115 West Colfax Avenue
Located in downtown South Bend, Lasalle Kitchen and Tavern offers a cozy pub atmosphere, a big menu with weekly specials, an impressive list of cocktails, domestic and imported beers, red and white wines, and weekly music events on Friday and Saturday nights. You can stop in for a BBQ Burger and fries or a Prime Rib French Dip and salad, wash it down with Craft beer or a Chocolate Martini, join in Trivia Night at 7 pm, or relax with your favorite band from 8 pm-11 pm on weekends.

  • Parisi's Ristorante – 1412 South Bend Avenue
If you love Italian cuisine, head to Parisi's Ristorante located near the University of Notre Dame. The menu includes a variety of chicken, meatball, sausage, and shrimp dishes, fresh salads, seasonal soups and homemade bread, Italian desserts, and cocktails and spirits. In addition to scrumptious Italian cuisine, Parisi's offers several dining rooms, including The Court with views of Notre Dame, The Hesburgh Table, and The Main Dining Room with access to the Garden Patio. Established in 1981, Parisi's is a popular eatery for both locals and visitors to the South Bend area, so it's best to make reservations before you head over.

  • The Early Bird Eatery – 117 East Wayne Street
If you want a homemade breakfast or brunch made from scratch with healthy ingredients, you won't find anything better than The Early Bird Eatery. It's a feast with Biscuits and Gravy, Blueberry Lemon Pancakes, Eggs Benedict, and Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwiches. If you're looking for something lighter, you can't go wrong with the Elder Bread Toast & House Jam, Cheesy Grits, Fresh Fruit Salad, or Granola & Yogurt, washed down with a mug of Irish Coffee or Winter Mimosa. The Early Bird Eatery is open Monday-Friday 8 am-2 pm, Saturday-Sunday 9 am-2 pm, and weekends are always busy.

  • Tippecanoe Place – 620 West Washington Street
Tippecanoe Place is a South Bend landmark with a colorful history. The mansion was built by Clem Studebaker between 1886 and 1889, so it's often referred to as the Studebaker mansion, where his family lived. Because of its beauty and rich heritage, today it houses a wonderful museum for locals and visitors looking for South Bend homes for sale, a beautiful restaurant, and the Studebaker Brewery that serves handcrafted cocktails, wines, and artisan ales and lagers brewed on the premises. Tippecanoe Place is also a popular destination for special events like weddings, catered dinners and parties, and Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre held throughout the year.

  • Yellow Cat Cafe – 808 East Colfax AvenueIf you're not curious about this restaurant's adorable name, their impressive breakfast and lunch menus are certain to pique your interest. Breakfast favorites like Biscuits with Sausage Gravy, Corned Beef Hash and Country Fried Steak with eggs, and Farmer's Skillet with hash browns and eggs will definitely wake you up.
